How to set up your Mobiily eSIM

Three things, in order. Select the Mobiily line for mobile data in your phone's settings. Turn Data Roaming ON for that line — a travel eSIM connects to a partner network abroad, which counts as roaming. And if your plan lists an APN, type it in by hand: a few profiles have no data at all until that field is filled.

No — a phone cannot scan its own screen. On iPhone, open the order email on that phone and tap the install link instead. On Android, save the QR to Photos first, then in the scan screen choose the option to pick an image from your gallery.

Install before you travel, on Wi-Fi. Most plans only start counting when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, so installing early costs you nothing and saves you doing it on an airport connection you may not have.

That usually means the phone has no eSIM chip, or it is locked to a carrier. Both are settled before purchase with our compatibility checker. On some Android phones the option sits under Network & internet → SIMs → the + button, labelled "Download a SIM instead".

An installed eSIM profile is tied to the device it was installed on, and deleting it does not give the QR code back. If you need to change phones, do it before installing. Recent iPhones and Android phones can transfer an eSIM between devices a limited number of times, but treat that as a bonus, not a plan.
