How to set up your Mobiily eSIM

Get your eSIM running in minutes after you order. Follow one-tap install, a QR code, or manual steps — whatever your device supports.

Before you start

  • Your device must be eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked (check compatibility).
  • Keep a stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection during setup.
  • You usually install an eSIM once — set it up before you travel and activate on arrival.

Ways to install

1. One-tap install (fastest)

On iOS 17.4+ and recent Android devices, just tap the 'Install eSIM' link in your order confirmation — the system setup screen opens directly.

  1. Open your order confirmation email or the 'My eSIMs' page on your device.
  2. Tap the 'Install eSIM' link.
  3. Confirm adding the eSIM on the system setup screen.

2. Install with a QR code

Scan your eSIM QR code from another screen.

  1. Open Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data → Add eSIM (or + Add Plan).
  2. Choose 'Scan QR code'.
  3. Scan the QR code on your 'My eSIMs' page or in your email.
  4. Add and label the eSIM plan.

3. Manual install (SM-DP+)

If you can't scan a QR code, enter the details by hand. You'll find them on your 'My eSIMs' page.

  1. Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data → Add eSIM → 'Enter details manually'.
  2. Paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code (the LPA string).
  3. Confirm and wait for the eSIM plan to be added.

After setup

  • When you arrive, select the Mobiily eSIM line for data.
  • Turn on 'Data Roaming' for that line — that's how the plan works abroad.
  • Track usage on 'My eSIMs' and top up easily when it runs low.
