An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone — no physical card. You buy a Mobiily data plan online, receive a QR code, scan it once, and your device connects to a local network. Setup takes about two minutes and there is nothing to ship or swap.

Most phones released since 2019 support eSIM — including recent iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and many others. Check Settings for an "Add eSIM" or "Add data plan" option, or use our device-compatibility checker before you buy.

You can install the eSIM as soon as you receive the QR code. Many plans start counting validity from first activation (connecting to a network at your destination), so you can install ahead of time on Wi-Fi and only activate when you arrive.

When the data allowance is used up, connectivity pauses — you are never charged surprise roaming fees. You can top up the same eSIM or buy a new plan in a few taps to keep going.
